Music Major
The Jazz and Popular Music major stresses the development of competent improvisational skills through intensive training in theory, individual lessons and ensembles. The curriculum serves as preparation for a career in the commercial music world or advanced instruction at other professional institutions.
The Music Pedagogy Program prepares students for professional careers in private teaching, performing, accompanying and other fields that require a strong musical foundation.
