Teacher Absence - In the event of a teacher's absence, the teacher is required to make-up the lesson at a mutually agreed time. In the event that a teacher becomes seriously ill, a substitute teacher will be provided for the remainder of the semester.

 

Student Absense - Students are charged for all lessons or classes for which they register, including those missed through student absence. As a courtesy, students are expected to notify their teachers of any impending absence from lessons. Students are allowed one make-up lesson per semester with the teacher being informed at least 24 hours in advance. Faculty members are not required to make up lessons or classes due to student absences beyond the one allowed make-up lesson. If a student misses 3 or more consecutive lessons due to a serious illness or injury, credit will be given upon approval of the community program director.

The students are advised to call the school's main line at (860) 246-2588 in addition to checking WFSB or NBC30 for a school closing or delayed opening announcement. Make-up lessons will be provided for all lessons or classes missed due to inclement weather.

Payments can be made with cash, check, money order or credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. A $30.00 fee will be charged for any returned check. Payment for the semester is due prior to the first lesson or class. Teachers will not give lessons or accept students in class without confirmation that payment has been made.

Parking is available at all branches of the conservatory. The Park Street dance studio's parking is located at the rear of the building.
